Simplicity and Originality
As every musician knows, there is no substitute for the classic tone of a vacuum tube amplifier. While many competitors have attempted to recreate the deep tonality and complex harmonic sound of tube-based amplifiers, none have been able to replace the rich texture of this outdated technology.
Our passion for building amplifiers has its genesis in our love for playing and performing on stage. After ten years of experience as an amplifier repair company and thousands of repairs, we combined our knowledge to create tough and rugged amplifiers that can withstand extreme conditions. Everything branded by the Analog Outfitters name is designed to handle anything from world tours to backyard gigs.
Our amplifiers are the result of an uncompromising dedication to meticulous craftsmanship and a commitment to create unparalleled performance for our customers. Through unique manufacturing methods and our approach to up-cycling vintage instruments, we are able to provide a product that is unrivaled in the market.
A Piece of Music History
Constructed from up cycled remains of salvaged Hammond Organ products, each amplifier is uniquely constructed to provide a tonally rich and versatile sound. This manufacturing technique creates an instrument that is oozing with history and a jealously-inducing tone. In addition, the up-cycling process allows us to use rare woods that are typically banned from manufacturing use; many of our cabinets are constructed from beautiful redwood, mahogany and other materials that create a rich sound in combination with our amplifiers.
Using original Hammond chassis and transformers as a foundation, we’ve added a preamp and tone-stack loosely based on a Blackface Deluxe Reverb. The result is a rich, warm tone suited for any style of music. 15 watts allows you to achieve true power-amp distortion at a manageable volume; crank it up for a raw, vintage tone. It’s a beautiful sound that can’t be reproduced by any modern amplifier.
Constructed from high quality woods such as redwood and mahogany, the ORGANIC 15 is the perfect amplifier for those seeking a powerful and versatile amp that comes with personality. Up-cycled from original Hammond models, the ORGANIC 15 is a piece of music history and an excellent addition to any musician's arsenal. The ORGANIC 15 gives all of the powerful performance of the Sarge inside of a beautifully crafted hardwood cabinet.
Introducing: The Sarge
Enclosed in a unique enclosure constructed from recycled steel, the Sarge is built tough and highly portable for any occasion. Each enclosure is slightly different due to parts sourcing, and features a unique case that is able to withstand any potential damage.
Small enough to fit on any cabinet, the amplifier is powered by two EL84s in the power section, two 12AX7s in a preamp setting and a 5Y3 rectifier. This allows the Sarge to provide a gritty and authoritative tone that is able to make itself heard regardless of the composition of the sound. Highly versatile in its application, the Sarge is able to provide tones ranging from clean to screaming, with a distinct tweed-styled tone and a vibey aesthetic.
Perfect for any style, the Sarge is well-suited to replicating the classic sound of guitarists such as Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, and other legends of rock and roll. The Sarge features a unique personality and a fiery mojo that allows you to customize the perfect sound for your style.
The Super Sarge
The Super Sarge is a more powerful version of our Sarge model, with four EL84 power tubes. This model resulted from a collaborative effort between Analog Outfitters and Nels Cline of Wilco. Nels wanted an amplifier with the tone of the Sarge but with more clean headroom for live applications; the resulting amplifier is equally at home in the studio or on stage.
Built for The Road
Following the release of the SARGE and Super SARGE, and ORGANic 15 line of amplifiers, we focused our attention on the creation of a 6V6 based amplifier that has an “American” tone reminiscent of early Fender amplifiers. The Road Amp is specifically designed to be tough, and its outer shell is constructed from decommissioned road signs; having proven themselves for decades on the side of America's streets, these signs are now ready to be reborn as the unique case for our new line of tone machines. Like our other amplifiers, the Road Amp is built from vintage Hammond organ amplifiers repurposed to create the sparkling tone that only vintage transformers can produce.
Featuring repurposed wood from original Hammond organs, our cabinets are road worthy and provide a unique decor to your gear.
